Who the F*ck are you, really?
Everyone talks about personal branding, the "person of influence" in today's jargon, but who the F*ck are you, really?
You'll get used to it. I curse. I am French and it is so deeply ingrained in our DNA, it is part of my persona.
Welcome to my world!
I am a product made in France. Shall we quickly check the marvellous qualities of being French?
01: accent sharp as a knife. Dear God, it took me years to joke about it. You Brits have the most fab accent. I am jealous. Be aware, I am watching you.
02: we tend to appear quite cold, thanks to you, Parisians. Kidding, not kidding, have you met yourselves? But I still love you, you ravishingly stylish urban Amazons.
03: complaining about anything and everything. I am raising two purebred French children and it is insane, the French heritage is no joke.
04: being unapologetically straightforward. Most of the time, that's where the love-hate relationship with our fellows from other countries comes from. Yes darling, we don't say it's interesting when it's not. With us it's tough love only. We are like the sudden removal of a plaster, it hurts, but you feel better afterwards.
05: we love our language, our heritage. We are very proud of our culture, our food, our history. We are even proud of this ridiculous accent. I will never comprehend it, hear me on this one, it is ridiculous. Make an effort! We are obsessed with books, and no, we don't read on screens, we love a good old paperback.
06: we are effortlessly stylish. Fashion is a playground we have played on since day one. I know this annoys a lot of people, how do we manage to make it so simple and stylish? I have no clue darling, I was born like this. What a condescending thing to say, of course I am French, who do you think you are talking to?
07: condescending asshole, with manners and sincerity, and loudly horrified if you have none.
So now that I have listed the sweetest parts of my cultural heritage, where do I realistically picture myself? I tick most of the boxes, except for the rudeness. I love the delicacy of being straightforward and packaging it beautifully, manners and language are big game changers.
And while I am at it, I should confess something deeply controversial: I am not an unconditional fan of French food. I know, I know. I would be sacrificed at Place de la Bastille for this one. My background is made in France but my heart belongs to the Middle East, and that, darling, is a story for another post.
My point is that you can disguise yourself so easily behind the curtain of your personal branding, sorry, ancient vocabulary, I meant "person of influence". You can, and surely did, showcase your values, your strengths, your weaknesses disguised as strengths. You know the deal darling, don't pretend. I see you. The beautiful perfect photos, the content that makes you look intelligent, grounded, and like you stand out.
Well, well, well. Now with your bestie Claude and your best buddy GPT, the sucker. Yes, he is a sucker. Five minutes of conversation and you are in a position to beat Elon with your rubbish idea. We have acquired the most boring and useless content team! Sameness everywhere!
People now post personal pictures on LinkedIn to stand out. Well darling, I don't see how your boat trip and your bikini photo have anything to do here! Yes, I shamelessly judge you. LinkedIn is not E! Entertainment. Do you meet your future clients in a bikini? I certainly will not, even beach resort owners stay dressed! Can you see the pattern here? Everything is crumbling under the heavy weight of content. We are suffocating, so now people try to stand out by posting photos that should only be on their personal Instagram. Yes, sorry darling if I hurt your feelings, but someone has to tell you.
I am not a dinosaur. I am designed to push back and pivot. But the workplace is the workplace, and boundaries should be put and respected. No one gives a F about your bikini shoot, it is simply inappropriate. The culture of standing out by being inappropriate is over. We have moved on and thank god for it.
This cannot be you posting bikini photos, unless you are seeking a career in another field. I fully respect that, but you are posting on the wrong platform, dear. Judgy and acidic opinion, I know.
Standing out is about creating your content, sharing the deepest layers of your soul with no hidden agenda: no proving yourself, no seeking attention, no attracting love. Share the ups and downs of your life, not because you are a model to follow who went through hell, survived, and is now a billionaire entrepreneur, but to help people reflect on their own superpowers. Fun fact, the guru era is dead. Now people are desperate and craving authenticity. They don't look for solutions anymore, they need to find tools to empower themselves. So telling your story about being born in a barn and living your best expensive life while being such a philosopher, philanthropist, and motivational speaker? No thank you, we have had enough.
Now is the era of sharing your truest tone. Who the F*ck are you, darling?
Not the professional and polished version, the real reason why your best friends are deeply fond of you, why your husband fell in love with you, why you are always the big sister showing up in the family, why you are the co-worker, the founder who always shows up for your team. The real you, the one you are so afraid to share. Because this raw version is the most addictive one. Note to yourself: the bikini photos are still forbidden.
Why do you think people are so obsessed with celebrity drama and scandals? You might think they enjoy witnessing the fall and the circus. The truth is it is the closest version of what we, the peasants, the masses, experience in normal life. Not the polished version, not the rhinestones and glitter, not the glamour.
Oh, and so you know, I worked a decade in the fashion industry. I cannot stand the fakeness of most celebrities. Don't even get me started on celebrity stylists. You are definitely not ready for that ride with me.
I am fully allergic to bullshit: the fake smile, the so-called inspirational quote, the high-pitched peachy voice, the size-zero jeans, the endless race to look young, and all the stupid trends that made us all think we have to look like Voldemort to be pretty. Thanks but no thanks. All for the sake of a billion-dollar industry that conditioned us to feel like shit about ourselves while worshipping someone who looks like a psycho zombie? It is a big fat NO! Same with the clean girl obsession, can we be at peace with our bodies without feeling constantly guilty? Same billion-dollar industry trap.
You deserve to feel special as yourself. Not pretending, not proving, not seeking anything other than BEING fully you. Sharing pieces of your unique frequency is the ONLY way to attract your tribe, to find your correct environment. You don't have to be loved. You have nothing to prove. There is no pressure to fit, this is your mind playing tricks on you. The body knows the truth, always has and always will.
When you laugh deeply at your best friend's joke, or dance at her wedding like no one is watching while having so much fun. When you cry your soul out because your kids say those lines that make your soul melt. The moody wifey, the impatient driver, the don't-F*ck-with-me bitch face when anyone dares to hurt those you love deeply. The deep emotions that make those you love always want to be in your aura, this is the real you! This is where we can grasp your uniqueness.
WThis is why I love Human Design so much. It gives you access to your unique map and helps you understand your frequency, your aura, and how you operate naturally, with no filter.
I am a Manifesting Generator. I respond, I pivot, I move fast, I follow what lights me up and drop what doesn't. This article? Pure Manifesting Generator energy, unfiltered, multi-directional, with a strong opinion at every corner. That is not my personal brand strategy. That is my design. I just stopped apologising for it.
And this is exactly the problem with the copy-paste approach to personal branding. The reason everyone's content looks the same is that everyone is following the same generic playbook, same tips, same structure, same hooks. Human Design says your frequency is literally unrepeatable. No two charts are identical. You cannot copy that. So when people ask me how to stand out, I tell them: stop performing a personal brand and start decoding how you are actually wired to show up.
So let's start building your personal brand by asking your closest friends, former co-workers, family, husband: what do they remember about the feeling of meeting you for the first time? How did they feel while working and evolving by your side? This is where the real you is.
Then start observing the patterns they describe and write about them. Just your words, your expressions, your tone, your jokes, your sense of self-deprecation. What you cannot stand and what you truly worship, and why. What makes you cry. What makes you fuming.
And here is what most people get wrong, they read a list like this and immediately open a blank page and freeze. Don't. Start with a voice note. Ramble. The first version will be ugly and that is exactly the point. Your raw is your most valuable asset. You are not writing for an algorithm. You are writing for the person who will read it at 11pm and think, finally, someone said it.
Share bits of who you are on a daily basis, you don't have to overshare. You can still protect your privacy. You can protect your family. No one is telling you to share about your family, only about you. But as a founder, you have to share your true colours, because people will always remember how you make them feel in your aura, and about themselves.
We are entering the era of the role model who lives their life as themselves without needing to be a role model. The next era is about self-empowerment. Be you, this is the most beautiful gift you can give yourself.
And as for me, welcome to my world. I am bold. I am French, no further explanation needed on that point. I am a wifey. I am a mom. I am an entrepreneur. But I am deeply me, sensitive behind the shield, caring as F*ck, way too much, and insanely loyal. I am fulfilled when I lift you up. I am the most resilient person I know. And I am a ball of contagious, positive energy. I like to think I have a great sense of humour. The delusion can run high too, but I am fine with it.
Big hugs from my terrace, where I unapologetically enjoy my life in a bikini, and no, I will not be sharing any photos.
Love yourself and enjoy your week.
With love and a big fat kiss on your cheeks, the French way, or nothing, my dear.

Book 2 hours with Julie to decode how you naturally function. Your Human Design decoded into language that is entirely yours. This is where the Glowher method begins, nothing that comes after works without this foundation.
